“Red Shift” (2008). for four channel digital audio.

Red shift is a study of the natural harmonic spectrum up to the eighty-eighth partial, based entirely upon the fundamental of 55hz, or the low A on the bass clef. Each partial was mapped onto into an 88 key MIDI controller patch, which enabled each harmonic to be triggered individually for creation of the work. The score of the piece consists primarily of chromatic keyboard figuration, which results in the playback of arpeggiations through the harmonic series.
